System Drive Failed :-(

Postby nednul on Sun Aug 09, 2009 3:13 am

I recently came home from vacation to find that my system drive of my WHS failed while I was away. What can I do to restore the server without losing the data? is there a way to recover the data from the drive pool once I reinstall WHS on a new drive? I'm mostly interested in recovering my personal video and photos. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

how many drives do you have in your WHS machine?

did you have duplication turned on, on all the shares?

As long as your data was on a different drive than the OS you should be fine. When you go to insall it asks if this is a repair or new. IT will see you array and should be fine
