Laptop on wireless backup fail

Postby Wildernist on Wed May 13, 2009 1:18 pm

I have one computer on wireless. It has a 24 mb connection. It gets to about %12 and backup fails. Any suggestions? Thanks, Kirk

no suggestions, but I am new to WHS and have a 4 pc network, one being an XP Pro laptop only in 802.11b (11mbs). It took 3 attempts and 6 hours (finally) to complete a backup. Something very slow and unreliable about wireless, I guess. can you plug it in to ethernet just to get the first backup done? Subsequent backups are WAY faster.

Wireless Backup

Thanks for the response. It backs up OK on wired. Not much on the computer and have not had time to mess with it. I will check the speed and post if I find a solution. Thanks, Kirk
