WHS Server Storage Tab Won't Recognize new USB Hard Drive

Postby biliz1354 on Sun Mar 22, 2009 2:24 am

Hello,

I just added a new WD 1TB USB hardrive to my WHS today. I can view the drive just fine within Windows Explorer and the Disk Management Console, but when I go to the WHS Connector Console to add the drive to the storage pool it does NOT appear. I have tried rebooting both the console and the entire computer. I've also tried removing the partition the came on the drive (FAT32) in favor of NTFS, as well as just leaving it as unallocated space. None of these attempts would get the connector console to recognize the drive. I have two other WD 1 TB drives already joined to the storage pool. Oh, I also tried switching the new drive around to different USB ports.

I searched and couldn't find anything like this on Google...I'm at a loss.

Thanks in advance for any help.
