File Copy Corruption

Postby Smike on Wed Aug 19, 2009 11:25 am

Hi All,

I am new here and have just recently setup my WHS, install and setup was easy and the software is very easy to use.. However recently I have discovered an issue whenever I copy data from my WHS, the files become corrupt!!! I have read all the articles on the net about the file corruption error, but mine is running PP2 and all windows update from Windows Update.

It doesn't matter how I copy the files, but basically if I try copy a couple of standard picture files, or music, or anything really using explorer, robocopy, whatever the files become corrupt. The source is ok, I've had to plug in a USB drive into the WHS and get all the data off and that works ok, but using the network corrupts the files.

My hardware is put together myself not an OEM purchase. Asus MB, dual segate SATA HDDs (identicle), 4GB RAM, AMD CPU.. The only thing I can think of causng the problem is that my hardware and WHS just don't like each other..

Any help, comments, or advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks,
Michael
