Back-up troubles, unable to mount drive?

Postby northernltz on Sat Oct 31, 2009 10:45 pm

Hello everyone,
I have a nice home built WHS machine running. It has been running for about two weeks and has been automatically backing up the whole time. This last week, I was in a remote session and tried to view a back-up. I got a message that the system could not mount the drive. I tried again at home that night and got the same thing. I have been trying for the last few days and always get the same message. I have tried several back-ups and none of them will open. Any ideas?

Have you ran the MHSToolkit to check your connections to see if you are running the same version of Connector on the Server and the Client.

If you are not,you can try these steps:

1. Un install the Connector Sofwtware on each Client.
2. Delete teh Client C:\Program FIles\Windows Hoem Server fiel completly.
3. Restart the Clients
4. Goto your server by using http://[Server Name]:55000 DO NOT USE TEH ORIGINAL CD TO LOAD THE CONNECTOR SOFTWARE
5. Load the Conenctor Soft ware from that page.

If you received an update from MS and the Connector Software is difffernt than the MHS software this could cause your connection issues.
